Sexism or gender discrimination is prejudice or discrimination based on a person's gender. Sexist attitudes come from traditional stereotypes of gender roles. It is believed that a person of one sex is superior to a person of the other sex. A job applicant may face discriminatory hiring practices, or receive unequal compensation or treatment compared to that of their opposite-sex peers. Extreme sexism may lead to sexual harassment, rape and other forms of sexual violence.
 What is sexism nowadays?
 Today a lot of people claim that sexism is a real problem, and I agree with them. Sexist attitudes are present everywhere: in music, in films, on TV, in books and in everyday life.
 Personally I think that sexist attitude is absolutely wrong. Both men and woman can succeed in any profession. However, there are spheres in which women are traditionally considered to do better than men, for example, babysitting. On the other hand, men are superior to women in such things as driving , cooking, making money… In any case everybody can make a choice by himself.
 I hope that in future sexism will disappear because sexist attitude does a lot of harm and causes a lot of problems. I think that sexism is a kind of Nazism when you think that some people are superior to others.
