Are real gentlemen a theory of past? I think most of the people believe that real gentlemen are not exist any more, but I don't adree with this idea.
What do you think about when you hear a word "gentleman "? Some persons imagine a typical Englishman in a high-hat who lived during the second half of the 19th century. In my opinion, men could be gentlemen in any palce and at any time.
What features of character make a man gentleman?First of all he is honest, reliable, sincere. Usually he keeps his word and has a good sense of humour. He respects other people's feelings and cares about others. To make the long story short, I would say that a gentleman is an ideal man.
In modern world you can identify a gentleman by his conduct, even in the internet. While chatting he is usually polite, doesn't use rude words and always answers on emails.
In every day life a gentleman holds a door for a woman, offers a seat in a bus and carries heavy bags for a woman. A gentleman is always elegantly dressed, he knows how to use a handkerchief and tie a bow.
So, a gentleman is not a kind of a dinosaur. Look arount and you surely will find one!
