Ladies first?
Many centuries people used to think that men should always take care of women, provide for them and be much stronger then ladies. But nowadays things have changed and everyone is equal. So, is this idea right or wrong?
Personally, I believe that "ladies first" is the right principle and we shouldn't reject it. First of all, men should see women as mothers or future mothers. That's why they should protect women and do their best to make their life easier and safer. Moreover, following this traditions is also good for men because it makes them stronger, more responsible, confident and decisive. Finally, women are less strong physically and more emotional than men, so they need more help especially when they have kids.
However, other people think differently they suppose that everyone is equal: if women have the same rights as men they should be treated equally. Secondly, always being "first" makes women weak, spoiled, and less responsible, so it's bad for women themselves. Thirdly, men's life is much harder, they work more and are responsible for more things than women. It means that inequality is unfair to men.
To sum up, I would say that despite some negative sides, "ladies first" is the right idea and it can still work well in today's world.
